Sequence Care’s Speech and Language Therapy team celebrated the importance of communication with fun activity days for service users, families, professionals and staff.

As part of The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapist’s Giving Voice campaign, several of our homes hosted a number of days of activities and information for service users, staff, families and external professionals during April and May.

There was a good turn-out at all services and great support was provided by the team with communication focused, along with some fun activities such as art and craft, zumba and cake decorating.  Presentations and information was also given about equipment and games to enhance individual’s communication abilities.

Sequence Care’s Speech and Language Therapist Mary, says “it was fantastic to see the service users enjoying themselves and interacting with staff and friends”.  “We were thrilled to have been involved in the national ‘Giving Voice’ campaign which has raised awareness and the importance effective communication has on the quality of life for our service users”.
